Fiona Spathopoulou

Fiona Elli Spathopoulou is an Athens-based visual artist. She obtained her degree in Psychology in 2011 from the Université Toulouse II and her Fine Arts Bachelor's and Master's degree from the Université Paris VIII in 2016. She furthered her education and completed a second Master's Degree in Digital Arts at the Athens School of Fine Arts in 2020.

In 2021, she co-founded the  non-profit organisation Future Myth Project alongside the visual artist Kostis Kontogeorgis, that focuses on producing artistic and educational projects with children from underprivileged backgrounds. The Future Myth Project has received funding from the Greek Ministry of Culture in 2021, 2022 and 2023 and was supported in 2023 by the Points of Support Programme,  a collaborative initiative of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, TIMA Charitable Foundation, Bodossaki Foundation, Captain Vassilis and Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation, A. G. Leventis Foundation, Athanasios C. Laskaridis Charitable Foundation, Costas M. Lemos Foundation, Public Benefit Foundation of Social and Cultural Work KIKPE, Hellenic Initiative Canada and Athina I. Martinou Foundation.  
 
Fiona Spathopoulou's works question the intersection of media and madness, identity and psychogeography, as well as non-linear narratives and relational spaces,
exploring the interplay between the political and the poetic.
