Konstantinos chinis

Konstantinos Chinis is a composer based in Athens and one of the first Halldorophone performers worldwide. As one of the co-founders of Broken Strings Music, he provides a range of sonic diversity through his distinctive performance techniques and instrumental proficiency.

His primary focus is on the Halldorophone, an instrument he has mastered over the years. Through his approach he unveils and emphasizes the organic harmonic structures of the Halldorophone, setting the foundations of his work. Additionally, he extends his exploration to various Middle Eastern instruments, constantly evolving his musical expression.

As a composer, he draws inspiration from classical and medieval music, infusing it with dystopian nuances and experimental instruments. This fusion results in a distinctive and dark classical sound that he contributes  to  the collective.
